Is the 5.7 abs module component protected?
Basic question, i searched, but came back with no definitive answer. Is the bosch 5.7 abs module component protected? Ive picked up an extra working module from a friend, and before i go through the trouble in swapping it just want to know.

No. But you do likely need the exact part number as a replacement. There can be differences from year to year. (04 to 05 from my experience, 04 did not work 100% in my 05. I had to rebuild mine).
