Hi all, I could really use your expertise with my A8 D3 AC problem. AC is blowing warm. I had a refrigerant leak at the G65 sensor. I replace that pulled a complete vacuum on the system It held overnight so system is tight. I started to add 134a but cannot get the compressor to kick in. I am fearing the worst, but wanted to ask what else should I look for. Another complication, I cannot seem to access the ac settings menu to check if the system is in Econ mode. To that point is there a way to access via vagcom? The only other thing I know to check are fuses. Anyone have any other ideas ???

I had the same problem, one of the reason that Econ mode can't be disabled is the G65 sensor problem- Make sure the connection is good. If you can't access the AC menu, fix it first. As soon as the G65 is good, you can disable the ECON and the AC should kick in. Make sure it's totally empty and do not over charging.

The procedure to fill the A/C in this car is to completely evacuate the system and then to add in a specified weight. There are a few reasons A/C has issues, the sensor is a good place to start.
