But for ****s and giggles, make sure the battery is fully charged and that relay j329 for terminal 15 is good.

It's located in position 3 in the relay panel behind the dash to the lower left of the steering column.

About VCDS i have a handheld VAGCOM so i can get the the codes but i can not give you a printout. Car has been scanned with VCDS same codes as with my cheap knock-off. If i need VCDS i can allways call the guy for a scan. I get no power to steering column. Everything else stopped working as well.

Hello Rik,
I am trying to help, so please explain how all the information I am posting is hijacking your thread when you have the same symptoms as Kam does, and we have been posting on this matter, and also texting almost none stop going on just about 3 hours, and what ever we conclude will be posted here to help you and others with your similar problem.

@ Giovanni Giovino Nice project this Bentley of yours. I need to check these fuses again.

@kamrooz using the cable release under the coin tray lets you use the shifter and get a cheap Vagcom scanner or o expensive RT if you like but get the codes. You don't want to see 00288.

I would start with the relay, it will be numbered 460 or 370
and try to verify power to terminal 15, terminal 15 is a relay (J329) located below the instrument cluster behind knee panel.

Thank you Rik,
Yes, I am walking Kam through J329 now, see how I solved Doc's problem here, starting at post #32. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-work-2905353/

I had already read this thread over and over again. Now i wonder why my key gets stuck in the ignition when trying to start. Which sensor triggers code 00288 anyway? A friend of mine had the same problem with a VW Touareg 04 and he told me he connected online to VW Germany and they unlocked the steering column or start / stop authorization and voila.

I tested fuses 5 & 10. gets power but 10 does not so i put 12v and everything comes on. Fuse 10 is terminal 15 and i had a lot of codes referrring to term 15. I can not scan the car anymore however. I also tested the relays and they are fine. One does not get current on term 30 i noticed before hot wiring fuse 10.

Scanning was never a problem until now. The remote used to open and close the doors but now it only turns on the interiror lights.

Hello Rik,
I am not sure what is going on with your scanning capability, but if your are saying that 5 had power and 10 did not, 10 would not have power until the KESSY module and the J329 relay made terminal 15 hot, Also you say terminal 30 has now power, terminal 30 is to be always hot, so check out the terminal 30 fuse in the right hand side of the trunk, see pics supplied by Kam of his terminal 30 fuse, or look at the 2004 fuse and relay layout I attached a few post back.

Now, what happened with Kam, it was just as I suspected after hours of texting with him, first I searched his VIN for images online and found his car at auction in California with the keys in the ignition, and the seats in their normal position, that was in February of this year, and it did not sell, then I found it at auction Portland Oregon with a sale listing date of June 28 2017 with no keys and the seats in the flooded car position, I also asked Kam why everything looked worse then previous pictures, and told him I believe that somebody had already been through the vehicle trying to fix it after the keys just disappeared, by all the testing we did, I said I bet the KESSY module will be wet, or it won't even be in the vehicle, well when Kam went to pull the carpet he noticed that it was ripped by the kickdown switch, when he finally got the carpet up the phone module is soaking wet and destroyed, along with the KESSY module be nowhere in site......
So something went on at the copart locations between February and June.

I'm a bit confused here. Which Fuse and relay in the trunk you mean. The fuse and relay chart you upped is the dash fuse panel.

No it is not, it is the whole vehicle, read the complete layout top to bottom.
