Default A8L Leasing - Question on Pricing

My current lease will be ending in the near future and I've been looking at the A8. I was shocked when my dealer quoted $1750 (36 month, 12k miles, $79k sale price). I'm wondering if my expectations on pricing are out of line. My brother has a loaded 2004 745il - lease price is under $900.00 per month (36 month, 12k miles). His 745il price was around $75k. Why is the A8 lease price so high? What am I missing? Thoughts/comments would be helpful.

Ask them what residual value/% they established.

Did you happen to ask them what your payments would be to extend your current lease by two years? This could scare them.

Put some numbers in this LEASE CALULATOR. The residual should be at 36 months around 52%.

I think lease rates are in the high 5% unless Audi Fin'l has a deal

Lease Calculator

Hello,

Sounds kind of high. My A8 with options had a 102K retail price - am paying 1500 including tax. I also put down 9 refundable security deposits which lowered the price from 1600.

36 month lease/15K Miles per year...

If you are in New Jersey - I am dealing with Dean @ Scheider/Nelson.. Note: I am just a customer...

That seems too high...what's the money factor and residual after 36 months?

My car had a sticker price of $76K. My lease is for 27 months, $0 down, 15K miles per year, and I pay $1215 monthly including 5% Mass sales tax.

Have your dealer sharpen his pencil or shop elsewhere. By the way - I have had my car for almost 5 months and it is great. I am glad I got the A8 over the BMW 7 and the MB S Class. My next car will be an S8.

That's high. I have '05 stickered at 78,800. 3 year lease with 25M per year no down with tax $1,225. Shop around.

Default That's a ridiculously high price IMHO. My '06 A8L stickered at $81,735...

...and with zero cap cost reducer and sales tax rolled into the lease, the monthly nut is in the $1200 range---24 months/15k miles per year. The sale price was about the same as the number you were quoted, so even if the residual and money factor has changed, the figure you mentioned sounds like you'd be getting hosed. My suggestion would be to shop elsewhere.

The MSRP is $79k and change. My dealer is not will to move off the MSRP, which seems strange.
