AC blowing hot air

Must be late Spring...
Low refrigerant is the norm. Search on it.
Get it professionally filled. Any AC shop with the std. evac. + fill equipment can do it.

FYI.....I finally fixed my leak on my S8. I ended up using the AC pro stop leak. This year I put in two 375 gram containers of R-134a and it was no longer effective after two days. Year's ago one can would get me through the season. I bought the following:
Then I charged it after putting it in.....it's been about a month and AC works!!!!!
Not what MP4.2+6.0 wants to hear, but I am glad I don't have to drop the subframe and go after the compressor. It was leaking somewhere around there.

It’s been beat to death over the years, but due to it having a variable capacity compressor, the A8 AC system is VERY sensitive to the correct weight of refrigerant being added to the system. 600g with +/- 50g tolerance (620g for W12 and 4.0 TDi). Small deviations above or below and it stops working. Only way to do this is with a proper evacuation, and recharge with the correct weight of refrigerant and compressor oil, as performed by a proper AC servicing machine. Less than $100 and with a warranty from virtually any regular shop like pep boys, etc.
Trying to save the cost of a half tank of gas by eyeballing it with a DIY refill can and gauges is a crap shoot, and will net you at best a partially working system, with the grand prize being a blown AC compressor.
