04 A8L and 2000 A8 18x8.0 wheels
I am looking for a set of summer wheels/tires for my 04. I currently have the 12 spoke 19" turbines with Blizzaks, and the clear is starting to flake. I can either purchase some replicas (like a Drag DR37 that is an 18"x8.5") or there is a clean set of OEM 18"x8" Audi rims from a D2 for a similar price. I am planning to switch to 18" because the tires are less expensive. I think the offset of the D2 was ~32 or 37. Any comments on how that would look, or does anyone have set of tires/wheels that would fit that are for sale? I plan to keep my original set for winter, but it is May and I need to get them off the car. Thanks

One side question
No direct input on wheels you mention. I did check some RS6 18 x 8.5's, ET 30 and found those still looked good on the D3 (just slightly out from stock outer face of wheels w/out spacers on my car).
Good idea to look only at wheels in the heaver Audi vehicles--A8's, RS6, V8 A6, etc--to stick w/ the ones up to the weight and HP.
The one question is whether you are keeping TPMS? A D2 wheel is probably not machined for the tire pressure wheel sensor like an OEM D3 wheel is--basically a machined flat spot on the inside of the valve stem area of the wheel.

Good point about the TPMS fitment. I was assuming that if I buy used, it will not have TPMS. If I buy some replicas, then I have the option of having the shop move my sensors. The RS6 at 8.5" wide would be good, I am just not sure about the older D2 A8 at 8.0".
