Adaptive Air Suspension Light Won't Go Off and then...
#11
I left the nav DVD in the trunk player when I did the update. I might try and re-seat that DVD and see if it does anything. I bet it does not. Looks like I will need to get the NAV DVD that matches the latest MMI software I put on the A8. Oh well. I just needed a little something to push me to have a reason to update the maps anyways! LOL. Thanks for all the help. You guys saved me from having to bring my girlfriend out tonight in my Ford Transit work van!

I was just following the procedure listed with the MMI software just to play it safe. Also, no it's still at the same ride height. I was so freaked out that I wanted to get it back to standard. Now that I've got a grip on the VAGCOM i'll go back in and adjust it again. I'm sure I'll be good now. What a learning experience!

HI GOOD EVENING I'M HAVING A LITTLE PROBLEM OR SHOULD I SAY A BIG PROBLEM. I've switch my air ride to the regular conversion kit from strutmasters bad ideal because when i got the struts and i installed it, it was already making a noise in the front come to find out the nut on top of the strut was lose n couldn't get tighten at all. ill get right to the point i switch back over to the air ride but i'm having a little problem with the leveling. when i first install the air ride back it was working fine, but the jack mode light would stay on the dash, and the ride was not comfortable like before when u go over a pot hole the rear would make a loud noise. so i try to use the vcds to level it out n try to clear the code but for some reason it wont clear n i can't complete the leveling process. CAN ANYONE HELP .......

Read the failures print out, pretty self explanatory. Google or go to vcds website to ask about how to complete the learning and adaptation. I'm not sure in anyone here has done what you did. If you've made a decision, stick with it. Ask strutmaster why it's not working, fix it correctly then you can make a decision to come back to original. Running away from one problem to the next one, nothing will be done correctly. Round and round we go.
Cheers and good luck,

Anyone who uses vcds tends to screw their cars up... it's just an expensive reader. Now, go back to the Dr. and told them what you did and ask him how to do it correctly.
If you explain exactly which "procedure" you used to screw up your suspension, vcds gurus here may be able to help you,
Since I don't use vcds to hack anything besides rear ebrake retraction and they made a video, so it was proven working. I don't hack anything until I see it tested and worked. I would never listen to anyone suggestion on using vcds to hurt my car.
Cheers and good luck,
