After 9 days sitting - my A8L's still alive and well..

Just got back from vacation - went out and check the battery - opened the trunk - the suspension raised up automatically a little - the battery measured 12.25V instead of 12.54V before leaving for vacation.
This morning - started right up and the TPMS warning sign came up - measured only 26 PSI. Reset and good to go.
Just love the darn car - one of the most reliable cars ever - beside the 96 Avant and Q7.

Cheers,

Louis

I wish mine was like that, if I leave mine for more than 2 days I get the power management warning and if I leave it for 4 days it probably won't start. Battery not even a year old, I replaced the old original one because it was dying within a day. I'm certain it's the outdated BEM software but my local Audi garage say the version/part number listed here http://www.audi-resource.com/mmifalsewarn.php has been superseded but they can't tell me the version or part number of the newest one. Does anyone know it off by hand or know where to find it?

After returning from Italy my car started right up 14 days later. You guys think there's a parasitic drain in your cars?

Even a brand new battery can be faulty. Check it under load.

Edit: Mine started after 5 weeks without any problem. Fairly new cheap battery.

Mine will have been sitting for 2 months by the next time I see it! I cheated, it's on a Ctek tender though...

Mine sits for weeks at a time, especially during the winter. Never had an issue with it starting.

I should hope so too! I would expect this even from my supposedly unreliable TVR...
