The bagpipingandy kit is good, as long as the compressor is in a still serviceable condition. I had a local specialist install the kit for me more than 4 years ago and the compressor is still running great, which considering its the original one on a 2004 car is good going I think.

I’m still at it: I checked the 40a fuse with a continuity meter and it tested good. So, I ordered an aftermarket pump off eBay. After removing the wheel liner, I unplugged the old one and plugged in the new one just to make sure it worked. After starting the car, nothing came on. Please note that did not connect the airlines only the electrical connectors. Should I have expected the air compressor to turn on after starting the car?

I realized my fuse (or something else) was bad by applying EXTERNAL power directly to the compressor. That obviously bypasses everything in the system set up. I just attached positive and negative power leads from a battery charger to do it. Since it ran immediately, I knew the issue was not the compressor at that point.

Also did you replace the relay? Or at least test it? You should always replace the relay with a compressor replace anyway. If your compressor runs with external power and the fuse is good, relay is a prime suspect.

If the car is set in Jack Mode when you replaced the pump, it turned off the pump function. Remove it out of jack mode then the power will be back on.
