Aftermarket mods & Audi warranty
I am looking at the A8 LED tail lights from OEMpl.us and am concerned that because it's not a direct plug with the existing wire harness that it may invalidate my car warranty. Does anyone have experience with this? The voltage is supposedly slightly different (which they have aparently dealt with) and the "tail light out" lamp on the dash is not compatible with the retrofit of OEM LED tail lights for the A8. How worried should I be about normal warranty issues being rejected if I roll in with the new tail lights?

You entire warranty can not be invalidated due to LED tail lights. Was that your question?
What can happen is that if you experience an electrical problem, and it can be shown that it was completely or partially due to your aftermarket LED lights, then they can deny paying for the repair under warranty because the modification was not Audi approved.
But if you swap your tail lights and then your engine blows, you're still covered.

yes, basically that's my question. Thanks.
I suppose I'm not going to worry about radio frequency issues or drivetrain issues. There's probably not much risk at all of tail lights messing with the electrical system.

Re: Maybe something like this
Thats BS. Check your Warranty info and then take them a copy of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Those two systems should have nothing to do with each other.
