Air Suspension Fault Somewhere
Started car up after leaving office and the Yellow warning suspension light came on first and then the Green light started flashing after about 15 minutes of driving. Made it home safe driving really slow but now my right front passenger side tire is almost hitting the body of the car. What's best way to diagnose? Do the simple test first. Your passenger side should be lowered after a few minutes or hours.

I let the car sit still today and once I came in from the office, I started her up and checked to see if I could hear the pump running and now the car is level again. Yellow and Green lights are off. Buy from a dealer. No worries about a clunking "rebuilt" strut that you have to R&R again or a replacement air bag that may leak etc. The Arnott new versions without the dampening feature can't be nearly as good as the real thing. Plus, if you only replace one the ride will be different side to side.I know the shock has different valving but try disconnecting your electrical connector to one strut and drive the car. Big difference. You will have a warning light but plug it back in and restart the car and the light will go out. Speaking of, some have reported the dashboard warning light staying on with the Arnott strut despite it having a bypass circuit. Why waste time? As I get older, time is more valuable to me.... I finally had to replace the Driver's side front one last week with 289.000 miles on the clock on my '04.. The passenger side one only lasted aboot(sic) 150,000 miles. |
Can't beat the real thing :) Mr. Bally, that's the reason why your car at that mileage still can hit 175MPH safely...
