Yes I agree, I bought the car for $3K and have another $300 so far for a Solenoid and new strut. I can get a Module for about $40, So I have to wait for the control arms, so I just will have a module as if nothing works then I must have it......my daughter must have her car back.

I think you are wasting you time. Buy a new air bag and replace it. Cost is modest. Ebay is your friend.

Just a quick update, I ordered a VAG XTOOL 401 VW scanner and ran it and it could not communicate with the adaptive suspension module.........So I think it has to be the module or the connection to it on the most bus.....of course if it is the MOST CAN BUS I am screwed to try to find it as I do not have the input tools for the CAN BUS system from the OBD II port, as they sit near the fuse boxes on either side.

So I cross my fingers and hope for the best, still very new at this other than new new used parts anyway..

You don't need the vas or odbii tools. Just concentrate on troubleshooting the hardware the old fashion way. Logically by understanding the system. BTW, if it's for my daughter, I would make sure no unknown stuff like used parts from junk yard.
