Default Audi 2004 audi a8

So i have been tryna fix car ac for the longest its not working but does anyone know where the temp sensor is i was looking for it and i came across this thats broken what is it and does it need to be replaced

The temp sensor is behind the bumper and in front of the radiator. That is the vacuum diaphragm for the variable intake runners, nothing to do with the A/C. You might be able to replace it but it might be like that because they’re seized. A good reason to “get on it” and exercise them on a regular basis. You should be able to pivot those arms by hand. If not, just replacing the diaphragm won’t fix it.
