Does anyone done an Tpms retrofit to an Audi a8 2007?

Um, from 2004(US) forward, they all came with TPMS. If your car does not have it, it is because the system was turned off, probably when the battery in one of the sensors died.

If I recall correctly, the TPMS receiver and display on your dash instruments can be re-enabled by way of the "hidden MMI menu" ("green menu" - see the link in my signature for a document explaining how to access it) without VCDS/Vag-com. However, as Jack88 stated, the TPMS are probably dead. Each wheel has one and, being battery powered, they die after a while and that is when many people get irritated with the MIL lights flashing about TPMS flickering on as most people do not opt to pay the extra expense to get them replaced - especially the OEM ones from Audi, at an Audi dealership!

Here in the US our gigantic Walmart "super center" stores have an automotive shop that does simple, quick-change things; install/rotate/repair the tires they sell, install the brakes they provide, etc. I had a valve stem snap on a set of tires I got from them and they recommended, for future convenience should it happen again as 3 out of the 4 stems have broken now since installing the tires, that they install a rubber one with their TPMS module. They wouldn't do it without TPMS because the manager stated some kind of federal law that they had to use TPMS if it was equipped and couldn't tamper with it (or something).

Either way, they sold me a new, non-OEM TPMS for the wheel with a rubber instead of metal stem for just $28. I am both due to have my tires rotated in the next 1,000 miles AND need to order a replacement tire as one of mine has a nail in it where it cannot be repaired, (under warranty), I am considering getting the other three wheels outfitted with that TPMS and just turning it back on in the car. $112 for a full set isn't bad at all.

Otherwise, just disable the TPMS sensor / MIL light on your car via the hidden menu and be done with it.
