Backup camera does not activate in reverse
My 2012 A8L does not turn on the camera anymore in reverse. The park assist button is flashing when I turn the car on, if I press the button it stops flashing. The park assist also does not seem to work. The only code that I got from the park assist is a B10F514 which is described as a front park assist speaker open/shorted Can this code disable the camera? I read a bulletin from Audi that the driver can inadvertently shut off the system by pressing the button too many times. The bulletin says to put the car in reverse and press the button 2X and do a key cycle. This did not work , but it made me wonder if it was possible to accidentally turn off the camera by over use of the button. Any thoughts? Also does anyone know where the speaker is? Thanks

Bob,
Not many people in this forum have back up camera, this is the earlier model D3 and yours is D4.
Anyhow, as MMI screen should have a button as you mentioned to switch the screen to different settings. You should read the owner manual to see how to switch back to default backup camera.
Cheers,
Louis

Not sure about the speaker location on the D4, but on the D3 there are two speakers for park-assist feature: the rear one is located under the parcel shelf (near the rear left pillar), and the front one is located behind the instrument cluster.
