Hopefully the new buyer is on here, I got [of all things] a Golf Sportwagen Manual 6 speed 4Motion. 3 pedals is fun, I plan to put a tune on it, put in GTI seats and a few other odds and ends, but lower car payment after an eyewatering catalytic converter replacement made me think it was the right time to go. The car did sell locally at the Coastal VW dealership, so if the new owner is on here please PM me. I'm hoping it's not the bagged bouncy ride S8 that looked exactly like my old one with a $hit suspension in that I passed on the road yesterday...but even if it is still PM me.

Great forum, I'll still pop in from time to time but thank you for the help and advice over the years, particularly Mishar, Mister Bally and MP4.

Good luck and enjoy new ride. It caught my attention since intro--like you say AWD and a stick make it uncommon these days, and hatch utility can be a plus.

Much appreciated--It was hard to find with 3 pedals...looking forward to seeing how she handles the snow, and the utility is hard to beat, plus the sleeper status of a blue wagon

You can get an old TT with quattro ( I know, Haldex AWD is different from the other stuff but the badge still sez quattro) and three pedals. Of course then you have to deal with this from time to time. Another clutch..... What a shoehorned-in mess. Really wish we had a lift for this. And the Audi transmission jack with the "panavise" attachment.The cheap Harbor Freight one is not very flexible. But it works for our use.

The last car I had had a clutch and the one before it had a clutch too. Both cars had over 175,000 miles on them and still have the original clutch. If someone is eating Audi clutches before 75,000 miles, then they need to be taught how to use a clutch. Both cars were commuter cars and bumper to bumper traffic was the norm. Power shifting and speed shifting eats clutches alive.

BINGO! His original clutch had 175,000 miles on it with 65,000 miles being his. His 2nd, "high performance" one from South Bend Clutch, barley 20,000 miles. I've had 200k on clutches driven in Detroit traffic. Unfortunately, the (back then) $10.00 throwout bearing wore out way before the clutch but if you're in there, may as well replace the pressure plate, clutch and throwout bearing.
