Big Week for the A8L
My 06 A8L had a big week last week.
-Metallic brake pads F&R done Tuesday -55K and 65K service done Thursday -Front control arm bushings and wheel bearings replaced Friday -Mounted 275/35-20 Pilot Sport A/S rubber from Tire Rack to 20" Hartmann HS5s from CovertW12. Covert W12 really helped a lot; beyond extensive technical support and getting me his wheels very quickly (and safely) at a great price he pointed me to the Pilots on Tire Rack (on clearance). I was surprised at how much of a difference the control arm bushings made and am happy to have gone up from 255 to 275 rubber. Also glad I did 35 series instead of 30 and have preserved the sidewall height. There are more pics in my picture poster, but the lighting is poor. I will get some better ones up as time allows. My 19" Turbines will be looking for a home soon. Mike https://forums.audiworld.com/picture...ctureid=218946 |
Looks nice.
Did you replace the control arm bushing with another OEM bushing, or are polyurethane replacements available? l8r) |
