Bluetooth microphone stopped working - iphone 5s
I'm not sure if my bluetooth microphone has failed, or if the iphone 5s causes a problem where I can hear the person on the other end of the call perfectly, but they cannot hear anything I say. This happened immediately after getting the iphone 5s. I haven't tried pairing another type of phone to isolate the problem because I don't have another one handy.
I've searched the forums to see if there are known problems, as I've noticed the iphone 5s has different options on the MMI screen (microphone on / off as opposed to Mute On, which is no longer available - also, cannot synch phone book to memory, etc.) I have rebooted the MMI, and this is for a 2006 A8L D3 SW: D3-HU 46.1.0 0805 HW: D3-HU 6346D2.0 FC SW: 06231AFC6AB320050 FC PS: 0050 FC HW: H01 I seem to be in a permanent muted state - any ideas? Is it definitely a failed microphone that coincidentally died when I upgraded to the iphone 5s - I had no problems with previous iPhone versions. Thanks |
Try it with another, older phone. Those geniuses from Apple are doing everything to make our lives complicated. No wonder that Samsung is taking over.

Try un-pairing and re-pairing with MMI.
I noticed in iOS 7 that the phone asks if you want to allow transfers sometimes. Also the audio source had to be selected the first couple times I used the iPhone 5s then it seemed to stabilize, at least for me. Additionally clearing all recents seems to help in many cases. |
