Default Boot spoiler and rear window spoiler.

Has anyone retrofitted a rear boot spoiler?
Am i correct in surmising that the end of run D3 some models received the S8 boot with the higher boot lip?.
Also on the subject has anyone fitted the rear window spoiler fitted to the top of the rear back window?.
I am looking to compliment and not spoil the look of my vehicle and wandered did anyone find anything that looks stock not aftermarket?
cheers bob

They DO spoil the look of your vehicle. If you want a deck lid with a lip, buy an S* deck lid and put it on your car...am OEM look with the lip stamped-in. The S8 deck lid looks good; anything stuck on to an A8 deck lid spoils the look of the car. An A8 os a luxury sedan, not a performance sedan. And a superfulous strip of plastic glued to the *** of your car won't enhance performance anyway; if a cheap strip of plastic would help performance Audi would have put one there.

And s**t stuck on the roof or glass. well that just looks just looks like ricer stuff. IMHO

I put one on my W12 to see if I liked it and I do so I have not taken it off. The D3 S8 does have a " hump" but 98% of the people who look at one could not tell the difference between a A8 and S8 trunk. I'm not saying it has to be in your face but there is a fine line between gaudy and tasteful. That wheel house is dependent on your taste. The D4 S8+ I know come with a carbon fiber lip spoiler that I think looks tasteful so I found one close to it. I prefered the tapered end design so I went with it.

I do agree that any rear window spoiler looks too "tuner" for me but that's my taste. Here is a couple of shots of my lip spoiler.

Here is the exact vendor I used. It came painted and still looks new after a year and a half after the install. I do garage my car so it helps. They are so cheap if they fade or something, just order a new one.

If I had an S8 I'd be after an A8 lid, I like the smooth look better!

Although Mr Hong's lip looks surprisingly good!

One improvement you may not have considered is getting the roof wrapped gloss black to the water channels (so from the side the car appears unchanged). I did the front of my beige car and it looks better IMHO. The rear of the roof wrapped in black gives the smoother aesthetic appearance which makes a window spoiler/shade look good on some cars, because the black blends with the glass (assuming your glass is tinted).
YMMV if your car's black!

Very cool brochure. I see it's Audi.UK, but I cannot find the 2004ish equivalent there or via Google. Any chance you have a link to the first D3 sales materials?
Thanks,
Tom

Not the brochure, but close. This is more the "train the sales force" (or press) document:
