Default Brake pad light

I changed out my front brake pads on my 2005 Audi A8, and the brake light warning is still on my car. Tried resetting it but won’t come off. Can rear brake pads cause this even though they don’t have sensors?

Are these any different to fix than the front? More difficult? Easier?

You will need VCDS to open the rear calipers to remove them and replace pads, but more over to enter the pad thickness and redo calibration after said pad replacement, there are some other ways, but not worth risking burning out the parking brake control module, just like do NOT risk using burned CD's to update your MMI for use of AMI, with the money you will spend on an AMI do it right and get the update disk at the dealer cheaply, if you want other options for music interface then talk to LOUIS on here, he may pop in soon.

Yep, and do not try to do it without VCDS, great way to destroy some rear calipers!
