Just noticed this while checking the oil today while on the way to Nashville. What originally caught my eye was the inlet is starting to crack, new expansion tank on order, then I saw swirling bubbles. It could be the result of not bleeding the system after the oil cooler pipe repair but i was just wanting to get everyones opinion and/or see if anyone else has noticed this on their A8. I don't have any smoke coming out the tails, or milky oil so that is a relief. Lastly one thing I have noted is that there can be a white residue around the top of the expansion tank, with the majority of it being around the cap from time to time. Bleed system after new reservoir. Worth getting a new cap too just in case--white residue you mention sounds like the remnants of coolant burn off.
