Can't seem to reset service indicator with Vag-Com
I have a Ross-tech cable, and have used it to lower the car, set the windows, remove air-bag 'ding', etc. so it appears to be working fine.
I changed the oil the other day and wanted to get rid of the service indicator. It seems simple: hook up Vag-Com and press the service indicator reset button on the software.
After pressing that button/icon, it appears to go through all the resetting and shows the mileage and days to next service reset.
However, the service message still shows at startup. What am I missing?

I remember that there is some weird approach there. Just usual software geek think. It is one of those you overcome and can't say how. Just be persistent and dig around that. Suddenly it will go away. Try to remember how you did it.

It just worked for me last time. I assume you followed the recommended procedure?
I tried to search Ross-tech with no luck.
After pressing the SRI button and it's doing its routine, I didn't select "General Service Reset" from the drop-down menu and click the "Perform SRI" button from within the SRI box, thus it has to run it twice. Weird.
Seems uninuitive that it would run a SRI routine when you first click the button, but oh well, it seemed to work.
Thanks.
