Default High Pressure Fuel Pump Fail Replaced

My 2007 A8 4.2FSI was running fine all along until this morning when I went out to start it. It was idling extremely rough, no response from accelerator and then stalled. Here are the codes I pulled: Any thoughts on where to start? Car is stuck now in driveway. It is definitely a fuel issue I just do not know where to begin. Thanks!

If all signals shorted to ground, check some fuses. Something loose or open. I wouldn't assume something drastic. Open the hood and start checking all wirings and hoses. MAF would do that to you, check and clean.
Cheers and good luck,
Louis

Would a dirty or faulty MAF cause all these other codes? I will try taking it off and give it a cleaning. But yesterday when I drove it, it was fine, no hesitation what so ever now it won't even run. Ugh!!

Lots of shorts to ground there. Worth checking all the fuses as mentioned, but I would also look at wiring, could have been a rodent chewing away at something, that happens on occasion.

Yes, it jus happened whenever. This is how I documented my MAF failures on 4.2 D2
http://www.dognmonkey.com/audi/98-a8...-problems.html
Just check wiring under the hood, most of the time, when the electrical is bad, all components should show up, I wouldn't trust the VCDS religiously. Clear the failures, charge the battery fully and try again. Something must popped out of place.
Cheers,
Louis

No, generally not.

Just unplug the MAF to test. Then it runs open loop/a.k.a. a default program. IIRC MAF can only adjust fuel up or down 25% so it is really a system that corrects mixture more precisely relative to baseline set up. Baseline should be 14:1 mixture.

FWIW, my own initial guesses variously are some fuse issue, a failing fuel pump, or...a bad battery. Remember that D3's get very temperamental electrically right as battery is on verge of collapse. Look at the scan you posted. Virtually every voltage reading shown is sub par, with the exception of the very last one. Sub 12V to me says failing or discharged battery. Not definitive, but decent pointer.

Where exactly are the fuses for the fuel pumps? I think it is a fuel pump issue, the car will start and sputter like it's not getting fuel until it eventually stalls. I don't even hear the pump engaging when I open the driver's door like it should. I took apart MAF and cleaned it, no difference.

Located a blown 15A fuse for engine management. I assume this is an issue; will replace tomorrow but I'm afraid the new fuse will just pop again.

Passenger (US) side fuse panel. I will replace later on today to see if it fixes the issue.
