Sometimes fuses blow, it doesn't mean something is broken. Good luck!

Put new fuse in today and tried to start it. Still didn't start and popped same fuse again! About to call a wrecker to have it towed to a shop. Unless it's one of my High pressure fuel pumps? When I went to unplug the passenger side one, inside the plug socket was soaked in gas. I know that's not normal.

No, that isn't normal! I would bet you have a short there causing your problems. I don't know for sure, and I don't know if that means the pump is actually bad or just a seal.

I think I am going to try and replace that pump, it seems like that it the root of the issues. It looks like there is a leak there causing that connector/pump to short out thus causing that ECU fuse to pop. Do you think I should try disconnecting that pump and start the car briefly to see if that fuse does not pop? The way it is now, as soon as I try and crank it, the fuse pops and you can see/smell gas right around that regulator of passenger side HPFP.

Can you unplugged the pump connector? Measure the +/- you can see right away or start with the unplugged connector.
Cheers,
Louis

Yes, I would just proceed to replace the HPFP pump. Fair bet it is issue. You can't tolerate any fuel leak regardless, whether for any of safety, running or emissions related codes and issues.

Well, tried to start it with the passenger (US) side HPFP unplugged....It started and it didn't pop that ECU fuse. The seals in the regulator for that fuel pump must be shot, connector is soaked in fuel. Will install a new pump, looks pretty straightforward, and hopefully it will be back on the road again. Thanks to all those who helped out!

Nice and clean engine. If the seal broke, check to make sure, it may be just out of place, reseating it may help.

Lol, he googled that, although if his engine does look like that, very nice! I know mine was that clean at 72k miles when I sold it, so it isn't impossible to keep it nice and tidy. Makes it easier to spot oil leaks that way. The current one is not so clean, although one of these days I will clean it up nice. I would rather do it when the weather is cooler.

When you take the HPFP off, let us know how the cam follower looks under the fuel pump. They did update it on the '07+ I think. Shouldn't have any wear, if it does, replace it.
