Default Close Trunk With Remote Experiment

Going slowly but surely - cost = $3

Cheers,

Louis

Default Some companies already made a little box to sell...

I don't know if it's good to post what I did, it's not good for their business. Here is a hint. All you need is a simple 12V relay - I use electronic relay that cost less than automotive relay. Anyhow, everytime you press the remote, at the trunk latch, the green wire will go high and back to 0. This will be your relay trigger.
Next, the switch button to close, the 2 center pins (2-3) will short together when you press the switch. Therefore, these 2 pins will be connected to the outputs of the relay.

Cheers,

Louis

Hey that's awesome!
So are you closing it with the button on the FOB or the button on the door? Why is it going back up if you're trying to close it? I still haven't pulled the trigger on getting the module to have this option.

Default It's Done - works like a charm...

Simple modification - Now, I don't have to get out of the car to close the trunk when my 7 year old son can't close the trunk because he's too short to reach the lid after he took his backpack out of the car every morning.

Cheers,

Louis

Exercise the motors more times than they should - Unnecessary use without any benefits.

Cheers,
