coming home' function stopped functioning

coming home' function stopped functioning

any one else ever experience this? Is it a VAG Com fix ?

Several times over the years mine either stopped or didn't come on at start, just use reboot sequence to reset. Look in book press 3 buttons at same time to reboot.

MMI reboot did not restore 'coming home'

What is "coming home" feature? Never heard of this.

a.k.a. delayed exit lighting

kicks on the lighting around the car when you shut off ignition at night (like what goes on when you click the remote), and then turns it off on a delay of 10-60 seconds of locking car.

One downside is it is hard to be sure you turned your lights off if you use the manual switch.

Haven't seen or heard of issues here...

yes, scan it for codes. Probably a variety of components that make it function.

Yeah but...

I find the chime pretty worthless in the car from experience. You are right that is what it does. But, the radio is on until the point the door is opened, so that makes it more complicated to listen for it, and that is after the usual parking sensor tone symphony that has me starting to pay less attention to other tones and chimes. I find looking at the instruments is best. Panel is dark if lights off but coming home has kicked in, while it stays illuminated w/ lights on of course.
