Default Compressor question

I have a crack in what I think is the intake side of the compressor

does this effect it?

The black tube that 3/8" crosses from one side to the other then "T " to a rubber hose

Crack where the arrow is
I tried to repair with super glue and shrink tube but isnt this just the intake tube?

I think it is, isn't that where the muffler is?

it then connects to a rubber hose and goes to a "thing" (that i thought was a dyer) in the top part of the wheel well

Dryer is built in to compressor body. That line connects to "silencer" and possibly an air filter. It is used for both intake and exhaust.
