Cracked rear window!

Cracked rear window!
I came out to my '04 A8L this morning and noticed a 8" or 9" stress crack in the rear window. It is in the upper left corner in a reverse "L" shape.
I stopped by my dealer on the way to work and he hadn't seen this before on an A8. He agreed that it was a stress crack and not due to any impact. He took a few pictures of it and will be sending them to the factory for advise. He is ordering new glass for me and the good news is he agreed to re-tint the window at no charge. One good reason for originally having the tinting done at dealer, I guess.
Has anyone else seen this?

It's caused from people putting their noses up to rear window and trying to look inside...
because the windows were tinted and the "oil" from their greasy nosy noses gets real hot in the afternoon sun and then the window cracks. I'm sorry, I may have given AOA a built in "out". I'm kdding. Sorry for the crack.
And how many turns have you taken at 60-80MPH to torque the body/frame to cause the crack? My first test drive in my '04 my sales guy took an "S" curve at 80MPH, it about scared the living SH.. out of me but then I realized how safe and sure footed these puppy's really are!

One hot day, I went out to my Saturn to find a crack across the window..I took the car to the dealer and they asked me the normal questions.."Did a rock kick up" and so on.. They had no idea.. Then the boss came out to see the car and this is why I like the Saturn people so much.. He said that he had seen this happen before on the Saturn in the heat.. Even though the car was out of warranty and I'm sure a window would not be covered anyway, this is what they did..The dealer gave me a brand new loaner car, which they did not have to do, they put in a new window for free plus they sent me a big cake and free tickets to a local fine restaurant for my trouble! If this had happened to my new A8L, I darn well know what they would have said to me.. I do not know of any window trouble yet in the Audi but I would try to find out if I were you.... Once again AOA, top Saturn in kindness if you think you can..The Audi car is wonderful but the company as we all know stinks.

Are you guys making fun of my Saturn? Ha Ha. It does look funny next to the A8L in the garage.
The Saturn is great when you want to just park it anywhere and carry junk around..It's also a good car when you want someone to think you do not have any money. This car does it's job and I love it.

Wind sheer! So That's why they went with the lighter Shark with smaller fin!
Sorry too to hear about the problem. Maybe time to take out the rear headrests while the glass is out?
