Default Damages on newly purchased CPO 2006 A8L 40k miles

Hello all, I am new to the board. Currently I am in Iraq and decided to get my dream car. I made the purchase online. Of course all the pictures looked good. Everything was going pretty smoothly. Had a transport company pickup the car from NJ and deliver it to MD. Upon first inspection ff the car this is what my wife found. Below are the pictures the dealer has not given me a complete answer on how to get the vehicle fixed one option was to send me a check for the damgaes and have it fixed it MD. Just wanted to know what you guys think it would cost to fix these spots. Also these damages were spotted by the transport guy when he picked up the vehicle and a representative from the dealer signe doff on the paperwork when the vehicle was released to him for transport. Yes I do understand it is a used car. But these problems should not have been left like this. Now on the CPO checklist these things were found and never fixed. Tell me what you guys think.

Default Unfortunately, CPO doesn't cover much in the cosmetic realm

but I would definitely push back on the dealer you bought the car from. The peeling paint on the rear bumper is common on these cars. My car's bumper was re-sprayed before I bought it.

I would tell them that they misrepresented the car to you (if they indeed did), and that you want your money back. About the most I would absorb is the shipping cost. Then go look at the next car you buy, rather than a sight unseen transaction.

Default Salesman told me CPO would cover scratches and dents

When I asked if the vehicle had scratches or dents. Salesman told me that when the car is CPO those items are fixed. Which on the checklist these things were there. Where it says does this meet Audi requirments they checked no. My question is does CPO mean you only have to pass some of the checklist or are you to pass all?

Default This is part of the risk of buying a car without inspecting it in person! Unfortunately dealers....

have been known in the past to not disclose everything to unsuspecting buyers in order to make a sale! "Honest used car salesman" is an oxymoron... that's the hard truth and reality! Mistake made... learn from it!

Default I am an honest used car salesman........but I am most definitely in the minority

But I have the luxury of owning my own one-man dealership, being an enthusiast, and only buying to order.

Initially most salespeople can either tell the entire truth, or eat. But along the way, they stop being able to tell the truth whether they are eating well or not.

Default Re: Yes it was purchased from riverside

Joe Arvatz was the salesman and I am suppose to get compensation by the end of the week. Who knows how much it will be. I have had the car for a week they couldnt even put the temp plates in the car. They mailed them. So my wife cant even test drive it. Which is no big deal cause it still has factory warranty if anything is wrong mechanically. But the smart thing would have been to put all paperwork in the car.

Default Re:True True

But when I ask the questions about cosmetics and you say there are no flaws. That's what kind of pissed me off. I could be somewhat understanding if I never asked those questions but I did and was lied to (or at least he never checked).
