are dealers obliged to send somebody to pick up/drop off A8 for service?
As an A8 owner, does Audi guarantee that the dealer will send somebody to my home/office to pick up my car for service (then drop it off again when done)?
I've been working with a dealer who had always done this, but now tells me they "no longer have the resources" to do it. Are they allowed to say that??

yeah, you bought a car, the only contract you signed was to pay for the car and get it serviced.
The little extra's like loaners and shuttles and in your case, personal pick up and delivery is a service offered.

Up to the dealership......
Audi earlier this year changed reimbursements to dealers for loaner services. As for pick-up, that is up to the dealership to offer this type of service.
My dealer in Cleveland has drop-off and pick-up service. I had them sign "we-owe" agreements to do so, and this was a condition of sale since living 75 miles away.
Some dealers have private fleets they loan out to customers for service work. I'd grump and look for another dealer.

No...however...
Every dealer is "supposed" to have at least an and preferably an A8 for A8 customers to use when their car is in for service. However with the change over from the C5 - C6 this is not seen very much at the moment.
