Driver door soft close
 

Doesn't work anymore and there is a noise when closing manually. Any ideas on easy fix?? Probably have to remove door panel- is that difficult?? Thx

Check out the PDF. Behind the panel is a metal frame. I don't know how that one sits though but search the forum and I guess you'll find out.

Thread hi-jack - How do you add control of the Webasto aux heater to the MMI?

Hook up VCDS. Check that module 18 - aux heater is activated. Then go to module 08 auto HVAC, click Coding 07 and add 2 to the existing coding. Save, exit, ignition off and when you turn it on again you should see the timer menu under ACC setup menu.

Our car developed the same problem (stopped soft close and slight noise). From the sound I am guessing that some mechanical hook came undone, however, I have never seen this and have no idea what to do. I am contemplating taking the door panel off and having a look. Any conclusions from your work or any suggestions?
