Fan kicking in ..

Fan kicking in ..
I know it has been hot here in the NE. When I start my car, and with the AC turned on, the fan automatically turns on. Is this typical even when the car has been sitting for awhile? I would assume the fan would normally kick in when it reaches a certain temperature. Makes the idling sound pretty load for a luxo car.

Check your dashboard temperature gauge
to see if it goes beyond the halfway mark, if so, you may be ready for a new thermostat which is covered under your warranty if you are still under 50K.
