Front air suspension issue...

Front air suspension issue...
Hello everyone and thanks in advance. I've just acquired another a8 few months ago. Compressor was weak but strong enough to raise rear a little when checking out the car. I hooked a air line and air inflation valve to valve block and concluded the block was stuck closed due to hot dog compressor gauge not moving nor
being able to push bike pump handle. I then tested and aired each strut separately...and they held but the front did not go up higher than 2-3 inches and the backs raised like 6 inches. I bought a pneumatic inlet/outlet manifold aired all of them so if one leaked they'd all go down... Not knowing any better i aired them up 60psi ..fronts still wont raise higher...then 80 psi same thing. They held same air for a few days same psi same height ...drove it around the block it was stiff so I let some air out to soften it and found out from a friend that normally those systems run 40 to 50 psi. Sorry if my story was too long LOL just trying to be thorough as possible... I read every forum that I could find related to our suspension even trying talking to text support at arnott... Suncore...jegs etc lol no help. So I'm finally writingng into you guys. Is it possible that something internal in the strut itself has failed such a valve as or the actual strut. Or what would prevent the front from rising any higher than 2 to 3 inches and still holds air. Once again thanks in advance

Nice troubleshooting techniques but it's more efficient if you read the system to understand how it works first. You may break the system by doing what you're doing. You can't pump to the valve block if the solenoid valve is NOT open electronically. Read a post in my signature about my suspension failure, it should have a link to self study guide about the suspension.
