I have a 2004 A8L and it was working perfectly fine until I switched it off and went to a store for about 10 minutes or less.

When I came back and tried to switch the car on, nothing happened.
Not even a sound, just the fm and the MMI were working.

I tried jump starting the car but that didn't work. Even tried changing the battery but to no avail. I also changed the battery of the car key.

I can't even tow the car to a garage since the car doesn't switch on, I can't release the parking brake.

Anyone ever encountered an issue like this?

Really need help.

You can tow it just fine. The tires will rub on the ground for a few feet while they pull it on the flat bed, but that is no big deal. Getting it off the flat bad should be no big deal for an experienced tow driver.

Call your local Audi dealer and use the tow service they use.

It almost sounds as if the car is not in "Park". You didn't mention anything about the warning lights on the dash coming on. If they are not coming on then I think that you have something other than a "neutral safety switch" issue.

Hard to diagnose over the internet, but perhaps your starter motor solenoid is fried? Do you have ANY lighting, horn..etc? Let us know....
