Way overpaid for an iPhone 4 cradle from the UK right after getting my 8 and still feel it was worth every penny for my long trips.
England and Ireland had the only ones in the world at the time and price was comparable to those now available.

So, after reading about guys shaving their iPhone 3 cradles to fit the 4 I figured why not get an extension for the dock connector on Amazon.
That way if iPhone 5/6/7/8/etc don't fit, I'll just lay it in under the armrests and advantages are still there.

Question is has anyone else besides this crazy *** redneck ever tried this and plugged anything else in?
Going on a trip in the morning and got me to thinking if the iPad could plug into it.
