Default Front rigth torque mount

After removing the engine I saw the torque mount was completely separated. To my horror the OEM units are 250 bucks! Anybody make aftermarket versions of it? 250 is a ludicrous amount to may for a non-active mount....
Thanks!

Probably about as good a price as you will find at $207: https://www.audiusaparts.com/oem-par...tor-4e0199267s

Variously:

1. It is a low volume part with no apparent aftermarket alternative.
2. While not "active," it is the oil filled type which makes mounts another step pricier.
3. It is far enough forward it essentially is a crash part, which in my experience means instant mark up by many car companies almost regardless of what it is. They know insurance often has to pay for them. Crap business practice.

As far as mount itself, as I try to post for W!2 I suspect this is a commonly overlooked part that often goes bad. Audi paid for mine under CPO on the W12. I found it had gone bad on my 2000 A6 4.2 at a little over 100K miles too. Replacing it does smooth out engine feel at idle and keeps drivetrain more settled under hard acceleration. The W12 and S8 ones get worked a lot with the high motor torques.

Hmm that is indeed a few bucks cheaper than genuineaudiparts.com. I'm going to search up the the other parts list that i have been preparing for the reseal.
No doubt it gets worked, just my *** is chapped due to the price
But I do not think it is oil filled. When I took mine yesterday off just looks like a dumb ol rubber bush

It was oil filled until it tore awhile ago. Eventually, the mess dries up. Photo of my old one and the replacement. Note the replacement does not have a connector.

Yes, you might cross check prices given quantity different items you may need. audiusaparts (OR) is usually in the least expensive handful of the online dealers. For me it is only two days (free) shipping to NorCal. jimellisaudiparts (Atlanta) got back into the competition it seems too--they used to be close to list. They also have true EKTA parts diagrams unlike the others that all use the same dumbed down third party interface. For things that are also sold/branded by the OES (gaskets, plugs, plug coils, (especially) 02 and other sensors), I then cross check to places like autohausaz, rmeuropean, amazon and a few others.

The mount is oil filled. It has a heavy hydraulic oil in it. If you find brown stains anywhere (that may seem dry rather than oil) that was the fill. The 4.2's use same part #. so Mister Bally would now have the same.

Audi got rid of the active engine mounts sometime mid cycle, hence the deletion of the connector. They should come with a resistor pack to fool the ECU into not throwing an engine mount code. I’m guessing Audi did this because durability was an issue (ie often failed within warranty period ) and they’re labor intensive/expensive to fit. A shame really. Active engine mounts are better as they’re able to oscillate their stiffness opposite to the engine vibration, as well as stiffen up under load, which ultimately provides greater refinement. I’m guessing the risk/reward equation didn’t shake out that way for Audi.

Mine did not come with a resistor. I added one to the harness connector myself. 330Ω IIRC.
