Default Front seat massage upgrade possible?

I think my car was built before Audi introduced the massage feature in the front seats. the side trim has a cutout for the button, but no button.

In my old Benz, the massage was basically inflating and deflating the lumbar supports in the seatback. Is the Audi system similar? Is it just a matter of adding a controller and button to the seat controls somehow? Anyone ever done this?

Default I love my massage seats.

Turn the seat heater to 6 - push the little button and it's 10 minutes of relaxation behind the wheel.

Use the 4 way button to fully inflate the seat back and it helps increase the pressure of the massage to the point where you can actually feel it.

I can't answer the OP's question as to how it works - I just know it does.

I wonder for how long though. This seems like it would be one of the first things to fail.

Don`t get me wrong, as it feels like a roller going up and down your lower spine, but as for me, nothing to desire....I on the otherhand really appreciate the solar roof pannel keeping the fresh air circulating in the car on a hot day...Tony

The Audi lumbar support isn't inflated, its a metal plate that is bent more or less to adjust pressure on your back.

The massage function moves it up and down a bit, then puts it back where it was and stops.

It must be possible to upgrade using just a button, some wire, and a vag-com alteration, if we could only find how to connect the wire. Has anyone any knowledge on this?
