Hey Chaps,

Just sold my old B5 S4 and bought a A8L, so am shifting forums :)

The A8 was 2 years old when I bought it recently. So far, no major problems although the gearbox seems like a weak spot. Already dealt with the 3rd gear 'honking' noise, but overall it's not as smooth as I'd like. Other issues include a strange engine vibration at 2000 rpm when revving in neutral and a few other small bits and pieces repaired under warranty (Airbag light, broken catches etc)

Here's a pic for you (hope it works). Car is stock except for some massive tint on the windows. I live in Singapore at present.

We've been an Audi family for years and have spent much time in the past in an Audi 200 TQM, Audi V8 (4.2Q), A6 2.8Q and the S4.

Yearly tax is around US$3,500 and insurance US$1,000. How does that compare with you chaps?
