Not Advised! It's been documented that some Model Years will not take the LED Conversion! I'm assuming that this is your issue and not the Headlights which should not give you a Warning when simply changing bulbs (HID). Laters,

Sorry guys, what I meant way the daytime running lights. My headlights are xenon. I put LED bulbs in the DRL and am getting the warning.

I have also tried the load resistors in the head light housing and it works to get rid of the warning but my problem is the housing is all plastic and the resistors heat up a lot so I was going to mount them to something metal outside the headlight housing

You didn't. A8 use fog lights (Canada) or low beam HID's (practically rest of the world) as DRL. Not sure about newer models.

Which ones are those? 35W halogen just next to HID's? If so, they can be set to work as high beams giving way more light all together.

I don't know that DRL setting but I like it. It is way better than using HID's all the time.

I think those are the ones. I'm not really looking to set them as high beams though. I like the look of the bright white LED's. Just need to know where the wires run so I can install a load resistor.
