New member here , I bought a 2005 Audi A8 4.2 engine and need to replace heater core or cores . Has anybody replaced one on these cars? I'm a visual person and would like to see a video or pictures on one of these . I've done a 99 passat and a 98 Jetta Heater cores so I think I can do this one too but would really like to see one of these . Mine has being blowing steam when heater is turned on so I'm pretty sure heater core is bad . Any help would be greatly appreciated

Two cores in there for your convenience. My son did the ones on his GF's A8. I'd do what he did and follow the procedure in the service manual as there are airbags involved. Buy the service manual or subscription to one of the service manual providers. Well worth the money.

Does anybody recommend a good repair manual.? I purchased the repairmanual.com not good at all no .Nothing on the heater core

I also have an A8 that was in need of two heater core replacements .After numerous flushes it was useless. They had to be replaced, they didn't offer a non-OEM replacement or anything cheaper. Bit the bullet, sucked. But, now I have heat..

I'm still working on mine , wish I would've looked at manual first . Not as difficult as I thought , just parts are expensive.
