HOOD LATCH STUCK

More specifically, if you put site:audiworld.com at the end of a search string it just focuses on that site. Throwing in a D3 or A8 usually helps too.

I ended up having to cut the hook as the cable came off at the latch assembly. Went to home depot and got a 12" reciprocating saw metal blade and took about 5 minutes.

I was sure I posted on this before with the info I found last year or even earlier, but now I can not find it, nor the pictures I remember clearly in my head, as it went along with what Mister Bally said in 2015 about a tool to un-latch the hood latches.
But here is what I was able to find today.

Perhaps we should start a new thread labeled "HOW FAST CAN YOU CUT THRU YOUR UPPER LATCH HOOK".
Obviously things didn't go well when going through the wheel well. Driver side cable was not actuating the latch. Cut the latch with saws all in about 30 seconds (I believe this may be a tie for the fastest).
I will go through it all now and try to make it bullet proof as I really don't want to go through this again. I think perhaps with a safety installed.
Thanks everyone for you input.
Mr. Bally, thanks for directing me to that thread as it is the best one I feel on this issue. Once again your assistance has come through for those in need.
Creative thinking to resolve these type of issues and the sharing of this information make the players on this forum the best.
