Winter weather ability is what Audi’s sell themselves on. Why hide it away from the environment they excel in?

Your A8 is made of corrosion resistant aluminum. Good waxing and washing works for me year round in Michigan. 289,000 MILES and 15 years young with mine.

Same. Chicago for me. A8’s are not special enough to be garage queens. They were built to excel in winter conditions, and they do.

Agree. In less than desirable conditions, why risk your life in any lesser car ? A car can always be replaced - keep yourself safe, while having fun on the road......unless your winter car is another Audi

Yep, salt doesn't hurt these cars, drive it to your hearts content. Instead of having a winter beater. A good set of winter tires is all you need to take on the worst of winter without breaking a sweat.

you’re talking about an aluminum bodied car with all wheel drive... what better car to drive in the winter?
I apply a ceramic coating and drive the wheels off mine. Winter tires help too. Now my 20 year old rear wheel drive pickup truck gets stored next to the garage under a nice padded wolf car cover.

i agree with all the comments. these cars to excel in crap weather.

in my area there are tons of pot holes, stone chips and other things in winter that may chip the paint. i'd much rather just keep it in the garage. i have another all wheel drive car that i don't care about that i drive in the winter.

was just looking for a couple things i could do to the car to prevent flat spots on the tires and keep it stored correctly to be ok in the spring.

thanks

Oh, well, put it on jack stands and disconnect the battery. Nothing special required.
