Just read this posted on the mbworld.org forum for the new W221 S-class:

"What's the point arguing if the car is worth its price... it's just a matter of able to afford it or not...."

I guess this is why my wife is worried about what our neighbours will think of us if I lease an S550 next instead of the S8.

Apparently for some Mercedes-Benz owners, value is not a consideration but the mere fact that he/she can afford one is all the reason they need to have one. It just boggles the mind...
