Re: Ingolstadt -> Neckarsulm -> Calais -> Lincoln
Congrats and many miles of fast motoring to you mate.
Just wondering if you could posts some vids of the car. I had the oppurtunity to listen to a W12 in Berlin (at the Audi forum naturally), and it sounded amazing. Thus, please post all the media you can muster
Also, how did you spec the car?

Great Post!!!
What a treat to pick up your car in Ingolstadt. Just curious, but how updated is the wall in the Audi Museum with all the model cars?
I looking forward to seeing the pics of your car!

Media when I get time
I've got a small 'bullet' camera that plugs into a camcorder that I once used to get some in-car footage of RS 6 action, I need ot figure out a safe and sensible mouting in the A8 that won't damage the interior, and then I should be able to get some media sorted out. I'll certainly post here when I do.
The UK spec for the SWB W12 is already quite impressive (for a European car, anyway) - DVD nav, Bose, Xenon plus with adaptive light, sport suspension, sport seats, leather pack 1, rear electric blind, heated front seats, dimming and folding mirrors, heat-reflective glass, auto lights, auto wipers and 6 disc CD as well as the usual A8 things.
I added 19" RS 6-style wheels, interior/exterior lighting pack, alcantara/leather seats, grey birch wood, electric rear side blinds, 4 zone climate, heated rear seats, ski bag, TV and another 6 disc CD changer.
It's certainly the perfect antidote to post-RS 6 blues!

Audi wall
If I remember rightly, it's not showing the A3 Sportback as of yet. At Neckarsulm, the one on the factory wall only goes as far as the D3 A8, they need to get new A6 on there as well as the W12!

They are building a new customer centre in Neckarsulm to cope with increased demand
Get putting pressure on AoA, I guess due to the flight costs as well as the increased cost of shipping a fully PDI'd car, it might cost some extra, but what a great mini-vacation that would make!

Interesting...
I visited Ingolstadt a couple of years ago (while doing a job for Dornier south of Munich), the wall seemed to be a few years behind as they didn't have an A6 4.2. I'm surprised they don't have a D3 there, even I've got a model D3(swb) at home.

Re: Media when I get time
If you need a 'chase' car to film some fast shots on the motorways my 4.2 will be more than happy to oblige.
As a matter of interest, where abouts are you located? I'm near Woking, Surrey.
