INSTRUMENT LIGHTS
WHEN HEAD LIGHTS ARE SET IN THE AUTO POSITION AT DUSK MY INSTRUMENT LIGHTS GO OUT...ODOMETER AND ALL OTHER DASH LIGHTS....IF I GO AROUND A CURVE IN THE MOUNTAINS AND THE SUN IS OUT THEY COME ON AGAIN...WHEN IN THE SHADE THEY GO OFF....THEY ONLY COME ON WHEN IT GETS DARK ENOUGH FOR THE HEADLIGHTS .ANY SUGGESTIONS...GOES IN FOR 15,000 MILE CHECK UP NEXT WEEK...DEALER UNSURE?

normal behaviour, see inside.
Same thing happens to me, apparently at dusk, the sensor gets confused as to wether the headlights should be on or not and turns off the dash lights to remind you to make the decision manually. This has been confirmed by multiple service technicians and I have found the same happening on other D3's

What should the setting be? definately NOT "8"...
I get exactly the same behavior.
What should the setting be for on all the time. Mine is set to "8" and is exibiting the behavior you guys are talking about.
Also what does the "Term. 15 OFF / Term. 58 OFF" stuff mean?
