Looks like a true (Audi) Field of Dreams......
sorry, too much coffee this morning.
But an S8, Q7 together with an big (though faded) movie star is probably a dream for Audi execs too. Audi is clearly trying to increase its presence in the Hollywood community, though they probably need to shoot a little higher than Costner at this point. I just hope they don't go for the rapper crowd. Let MB and Cadillac have that market please.

Re: Kevin Costner drives an S8......Dances with V10's
I know several athletes who own and drive Audi's and although the article is interesting the post by some here is actually sad. Although I would not be pleased to see this car become a nameplate for the ghetto esque rapper of the day, like anyone else they want nice things too!
Yet what I find more distressing is how some associate their value to that of what they drive. It's just a car! Saddam Hussein owned 400 cars and some very rare and "prestiges" makes and models. Yet certainly didn't improve his cache. In fact he owned 2 A8's.
To those whom think that their cars bring them prestige and worth, bear in mind these things depreciate, does that mean your value does as well? With that kind of thinking you may not have had any to begin with.

Which post(s) are you referring to?
It seems to me that all the posts, including mine, are commenting with tongue in cheek on the pics of Costner with his Audis. I could care less if Costner or any other celebrity owns an Audi. In fact, living in Los Angeles, one of the things I enjoy most about my Audis is the fact that celebrities DIDN'T drive them and that I didn't seem zillions of them on the road (ala MBnz, BMW, etc). I knew I had a great car, equal to or better than the those other marques. I don't need any confirmation by anyone else, much less celeb types, that I'd made a good choice.
That said, it is clear that Audi is trying hard to get the cars more visible/desirable in the celebrity "community". It must believe that visibility will help it sell more cars in the US. They had fleets of A8s in town for the Oscars and other award shows and had some R8s here as well.
We are just having some fun with the Costner thing; nothing to get worked up about.
