Leather upgrade
 

Besides console and armrests, anything else part of this package? Has anyone swapped it out? I may do so. I kinda like it.

A lot more than that. Also upper and lower dash and door cards (upper, grab handle area and lower IIRC). Upper dash is probably the most noticeable single item. Full package will also have the alcantara headliner, which then also picks up the visors.

I do think I have all the Alcantara stuff though. The car I was planning on buying before this one popped up had the leather upgrade and it looks like stitched leather on the console and armrests, but the dash looks like mine. Anyone have pics of their car with the leather upgrade?

There are actually 3 leather levels:

V6/V8 standard: Seats, steering wheel and gear kno covered in leather, armrest covered in vinyl, dash and doorcards and handles of rubber textured material

V10/W12 Doorcardsand B-pillar from wood trim downwards in leather, centre console and lower dash covered (glovebox, panel under steerin column and between these two) in leather

Alcantara headliner standard in most markets on V10/W12, and an option for V6/V8 models, tough most V8TDI have the alcantara headliner. Tough I have seen one GERMAN W12 (SWB) WITHOUT alcantara headliner!!!

Extended leather package (option on ALL models, cost new like 5000€/USD) Leather on upper end of door cards, underheath Windows, leather on up part of dashboard

My S8 doesn't have alcantara headlining, only in the door card inserts... :(
