Lost its Brains after visiting shop
 
Similar to Jack there, I had a new windscreen put in whilst I sipped on a boutique latte @ a business meeting.

Zipped back from downtown on my hipster fixie for pickup & it all looked great.

I checked my MMI this morning and it's lost the adaptation. Fault occurred right at the time they did the windshield (2pm Tuesday).

So do I re-code the thing or argue with them to bring it to the Audi dealer next door? Actually I think ICBC will pay for it (on the glass claim)

It should go with the glass claim! Leave the code, it's excellent documentation of what happened, makes it really hard to argue against it being something they did wrong.

Red handed! They unplug the sensor on the windshield. They didn't disconnect the battery or anything like that. What is the screen sensor for ? Rain sense or light/dimming??

I just called Speedy Auto Glass and emailed the codes.....we'll see.

Had this at the Audi dealer this week. Speedy is paying for the adaptation. So they do the work, I just picked up the car. NO DIFFERENCE. Still no menus. They cleared the fault codes.
What a waste of time.

I said, OK lets go over this again - no suspension, no TPMS, no this, no that....
SA is going to talk to tech and get back to me

Well, good luck! At this point, they have in a sense acknowledged fault, so just stick it out! It seems silly, but I wonder if any fuses were blown? LIke if they left the doors open too long or something, killed the battery, and then jumped it improperly. Any quiescent failures from the first scan?

Brought her back in on Thursday and it's A8LL fixed. Now I have to try to collect the from the glass shop. Despite the tweet, audi service was very nice.
