It "links" an awful lotta times, I'm wondering whether the Sirius is just an inferior service to XM or if my receiver came from factory crapped out. 08 S8, less than 3k miles on it. Just activated the Sirius the other week and so far, in the shallowest tunnel, it syncs out, even sometimes in downtown. Comments?

Known fact that Sirus has worse reception under bridges, canyons, city canyons, parking structures etc.

I own 3 vehicles with XM (Inclluding my '04 A8) and I rent several dozne cars a year. Many have satellite radio with 50-50 split of XM vs. Sirius. Sirus seems to have much worse reception.

I have problems with my Sirius reception as well. It'll be fine for a while, then out of the blue the signal drops. I don't hear this on my wife's XM.

Yup, alot of "linking." Needs a larger buffer, IMHO, but then you'd get a delayed start.

Hopefully, when they merge, the Sirius ones will be used as beach *****!!!

I have the A8 with XM and the Q7 with Sirius. Sirius is the WORST when it comes to reception. I drive both cars to work - and the Sirius is always "linking"...

Very frustrating. I brought it back to the dealer thinking that the antenna was not connected properly since the XM never lost signal during my work commute...

Couldn't find a better purchase when it came to an all around big luxo sedan.

My only complaint is the transmission. Drive mode is slow. S is perfect but in the city, it's too aggressive.
