So sad. I was stunned to hear this, but I am glad to finally know the reason behind his absence.
I always assumed Mishar’s first name was Misha, but I was not on a first name basis. His sense of humor and (well deserved confidence in his) expertise in automotive engineering were most appreciated. Especially when his English translated into humorous double entendres.
His posts sometimes came off as condescending, but I don’t think he had a mean bone in his body; it was just perfectly stoic candor or else he was poking you a little. He was one smart traveler and our forum will be worse off without him.

Oh man, what a bummer. Very sad to see this upon checking in after an extended absence. Rest in peace Misha, your help on this forum was much appreciated.
